Colton and Pistol Pete have been a riding pair for the past 9 years.  Last year they competed at a Pony Club Rally and qualified for the 2011 Pony Club National Championships.
Colton raised his own money to travel to Kentucky with Pistol Pete to compete this July.

We appreciate all of the
support we recieved!
Here are a few links we would like to share:

This was the first year we owned Pistol Pete.  No regrets with this pony!  LOVE HIM!
2011 CLEAR stadium round at Stanton Farm Horse Trials.  They finished on their dressage score of 27.1!
What is eventing?  Eventing is an equine triathlon consisting of dressage, cross country, and stadium disciplines combined for a final score.

.....more to come....
Greetings,

My name is Colton Youngblood-Munsen; I am 13 years old and enjoy playing football, baseball, and riding horses. I am a member of the Bit & Spurs 4-H club and Coeur’ De Cheval Pony Club in Deer Park, Washington.
For the past 9 years I have been riding Pistol Pete, a grey 1995 13.1 hand Welsh Pony cross.  Over the years we have competed in Jr. Rodeo, western gaming, trail classes, dressage, jumping, and 3-day eventing.  We also do a lot of trail riding.  2011 will be my final year to compete on Pistol Pete since I have grown too tall for him.
In September 2010 Pistol Pete and I competed at and won the nationally recognized Stanton Farm Horse Trials in Deary Idaho, qualifying us for the 2011 Pony Club National Championships in Lexington, Kentucky in July, 2011.
This July Pete and I hope to travel to Kentucky to represent the Northwest at the National Pony Club Championships based on our win at the Stanton Farm Horse Trials last fall.  This will be our final show together and we are currently working very hard to prepare for it.  We are attending regular Pony Club lessons and clinics and will compete in several local and national level shows to help us get ready for the big competition in Kentucky.
Our trip to Kentucky will be quite expensive.  It will cost $2000 just to have Pistol Pete shipped from Deer Park to Lexington!  Additional expenses include; my travel, lodging, food, and entry fees.  I must raise all of the funds myself in order to go.  I would like to ask if you would donate money to help make this final show possible for Pistol Pete and myself.  Our goal is to raise $5000; any size donation would be greatly appreciated.

6/29/11 UPDATE!
Colton and Pistol Pete dominated Inavale Farm HT BN1 Division!  They were in 1st after dressage with a score of 31. They had a clean xc, and a beautiful Show Jumping round (with NO warm up!!) to take home the Blue ribbon!

To top it off our team "Greys & Bays" (Colton, Emily, and myself) won the BN Team Competition.
A HUGE thank you to everyone that donated to Colton's trip to Kentucky!  You help make it a success!
